While education is essential in equipping young pastors for ministry, it is the role of mentors to prepare them for a lifetime of effective ministry. Mentoring helps to bridge the gap from preparation to practice. By focusing on an action-reflection model, seasoned pastors (mentors) can help emerging pastors (mentees) form the character, understanding, and practices essential for a lifetime of fruitful ministry.
